Firm ProfileArxis Financial, Inc. has developed a national reputation for expertise in business valuations. Our managing partner, Chris Hamilton, speaks nationwide on valuations to groups such as the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and has authored numerous articles in several publications including "The Forensic Examiner," "Los Angeles Lawyer," "The Valuation Examiner," "Valuation Strategies" and the "Journal of Forensic Accounting." Located in Simi Valley, CA, we work with professionals who advise their clients on legal and financial matters. This includes, lawyers (litigation, estate planning, etc), financial planners, CPAs, etc. Due to the far-reaching impact of business valuations and the inter-relationship with litigation, we have developed four practice areas for these needs: Our "Business Valuations" practice provides expertise in a variety of scenarios to determine the value of a business, the value of an ownership interest, and the change in value over a specified period of time. These valuation services are often performed in the context of commercial and civil litigation, as well as for estate and gift tax planning, succession planning, and buy-sell agreements. Our "Forensic Accounting" practice includes reconstruction of accounting records, analysis of business transactions, document review and tracing, and expert witness testimony. We apply detailed investigation and analysis that is necessary to uncover essential facts and provide meaningful insights. Our "Litigation Consulting" practice provides objective and independent evaluation of the economic and financial issues involved in commercial and civil litigation. We work with litigators through the evaluation of opposing party's claims, assistance in preparation of deposition and cross-examination questions, document request lists, other discovery assistance, analysis and calculation of damages, preparation of trial exhibits, and expert witness testimony. Our "Fraud Investigation" practice assists in determining whether fraud occurred, and if so, to estimate the extent of monetary loss or damages and to determine who committed the fraud. This may used in the context of bankruptcy, divorce, insurance claims, civil actions, etc. Our professionals assist in quantifying the financial and economic issues in a wide range of matters, including: While we serve clients throughout many parts of California, our primary geographic area of service include Ventura County, the Santa Clarita Valley, and the San Fernando Valley.
